His journey began in the early 1970s with Bajrang Timbers, a Sawn Timber Shop in Dibrugarh which today, is one of the largest interior shops in Upper Assam, recognised for innovation & unmatched quality. He along with Bajrang Timbers has been successful in setting up and running various Business establishments in Arunachal Pradesh like a Veneer & sawn timber unit.

In 2011 he established JSB Infrastructures. Today, Shri Haralka is known for his success in both timber, interior & realty businesses, and at the same time respected for his relentless service towards the society & community in Dibrugarh.

• Founder Chairman of Lion KK Saharia Eye Hospital ( A Charitable Eye Hospital and Eye Bank, providing free eye treatment to the needy) to date.
• Former President of Lions Club of Brahmaputra Valley.
• Former President and Secretary of various Social Organisations in Dibrugarh.
• During his tenure as the Secretary of Shree Gopal Gosala, he was instrumental in turning the decade long, loss making organisation into a self-sufficient one.
• Founding Executive Member of Dibrugarh District Tennis Club.
• Regarded as a Stalwart in constructing the Chamaria Memorial Hall, Dibrugarh.
• Currently constructing a school for Under-privileged Girls in collaboration with Round Table India, Education for all.
